A testicular prosthesis is a cosmetic replacement for the testicle made of silicone. The ovoid-shaped prosthesis is implanted under strict aseptic conditions into the scrotum through a small incision in the groin.

Our clinic performs testicular prosthesis implantations from a renowned American manufacturer. The implantation is preceded by selection of the correct size silicone prosthesis. We perform the implantation in a day surgery center under general anesthesia (artificial sleep).

1. Arrival at the clinic on an empty stomach with accompaniment.
2. Administration of general anesthesia and sterile creation of access to the scrotum.
3. Implantation of silicone prosthesis of the correct size.
4. The operation takes approximately 45 minutes.
5. After the procedure, go home – then wound dressing, bathing, and monitoring the condition for the next 7–14 days.

How much does testicular prosthesis implantation cost?

The total price for testicular prosthesis implantation is 2,200 EUR, of which:

• Surgery with prosthesis and general anesthesia represents 1,900 EUR.
• Preoperative examination, consultation, postoperative check-up, and surgeon selection are 300 EUR.

What happens before testicular prosthesis implantation?

Testicular prosthesis implantation is preceded by a consultation at our clinic in Bratislava or Piešťany. During the consultation, we perform examinations and determine the size of the implant to be implanted. We set a surgery date and arrange internal and anesthesiological preoperative examinations.

Before the actual surgery, shave the scrotum, penis area, and groin at home the day before the procedure. You usually come to the clinic in the morning on an empty stomach.

What happens after testicular prosthesis implantation?

After surgery, you leave the clinic accompanied by an adult.

After surgery, dress the surgical wound daily. After washing the wound with Betadine soap solution, dry the wound with gauze and apply Framykoin or Bactroban ointment, cover with sterile gauze.

Maintain a rest regimen for 7 days. Check the position of the implant daily, which usually does not change if you are at rest. In case of implant dislocation into the groin, massage it back into the scrotum. Dressings are needed for 7-14 days depending on the wound healing rate.

On the 10th – 20th day, come for a follow-up examination at our clinic, where we check the wound and implant position.
