Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is a condition that occurs during sexual intercourse where a man ejaculates sooner than him or his partner would like. Ejaculatio Ante Portas is a term for the most severe forms of premature ejactulation which occurs prior to penetration. Men who suffer from premature ejaculation frequently ejaculate in seconds to a minute following penetration, which often leaves his sexual partner dissatisfied. The causes of premature ejaculation can be genetic predispositions, long sexual abstinence, frenulum breve (short frenulum) or phimosis (tight foreskin). The treatment of this condition largely depends of its primary cause; cases affected by phimosis can be treated with circumcision and a short frenulum can be surgically corrected. Other treatments involve application of local anaesthetic creams and medicaments.
